Fluid Overload / Pulmonary Edema
Relieve congestion without crashing perfusion.

Trigger
- Rising JVP, edema, crackles
- Weight gain or net positive balance
Assess
- Blood pressure and perfusion
- Renal function and urine output
- Medication and fluid inputs
Treat
- Loop diuretic with dose escalation
- Fluid restriction if ongoing overload
- Consider non-invasive ventilation if needed
Avoid
- Excess IV fluids without indication
- Unchecked nephrotoxins in AKI
Reassess
- Work of breathing and oxygenation
- Net balance and weight trend
